Modul is expanding its presence in Arkhangelsk.

The Modul company acquired from LUKOIL-Severo-Zapadnefteprodukt LLC a land plot with industrial facilities located at the following address: Arkhangelsk, Isakogorka district, 3rd line, building 46.

The total area of the site is 10.5 hectares. The territory includes an open storage area, covered warehouses with a ramp for unloading rail cars, a heated warehouse, an administrative building with office space, and a container depot. The private railway track is serviced by a shunting locomotive of the SZhD, the Isakogorka train maker. The infrastructure includes an on-site boiler house, a diesel locomotive depot, a transformer substation, a garage for mechanization, and truck and rail scales. The technical equipment (container and forklift trucks of varying capacities, utility and auxiliary equipment) allows for the full range of terminal handling services for a wide range of cargo.

Modul has developed a plan for the development and partial reconstruction of the facility's terminal facilities, as well as the addition of additional handling and auxiliary equipment, with the goal of creating a fully functional multifunctional Arkhangelsk Dry Port. Its estimated cargo throughput is currently 40,000 tonnes per month, and after modernization, this could reach 60,000 tonnes per month. "Arkhangelsk's role as a key NSR port in the context of the country's national interests is difficult to overestimate. We see our project—the Arkhangelsk Dry Port—as a strategic hub for import and export shipments, which will have a positive impact on cargo flows throughout the entire Northwest region of Russia," noted Modul CEO Alexander Altshuller.
